「BibleのMutually Exclusiveな要素をNoiseから分析する」 MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE NOISE 「わたしは秘められている財宝と、ひそかな所の隠された宝をあなたに与える。」ノイズの矛盾点とは、正反対のものがそこに共存しているということだ。すなわち、創造と破壊、力強さと弱さ、神聖なものとそれを冒涜するもの、永続的なものと一時的なもの、芸術と反芸術、自由と拘束、秩序と乱れ。では、ノイズの反対はなんだろうか？それは音楽ではない。なぜなら、ノイズが音楽となりえるのと同じように、音楽はノイズとなりえるからだ。違うのはリスナーの受け取り方である。静寂でもない。なぜなら、時として静寂はコミュニケーションを妨げるものであるからだ。また、静寂はノイズのダイナミックな側面とその混沌とした頻度と強く絡み合っている。ならば、ノイズは自らと相互排他的であって、その内在する矛盾性が増幅されるのだろうか？形而上学的に言えば創造主である神と被造物である人間は相互排他的である。「天を創造し、地を形造られた方、この主がこう仰せられる。『わたしが主である。ほかにはいない。』」神は音の次元を含む全ての創造物を維持し続け、支配をし、またそれと共存するが、神自身は永続的な存在であり、被造物ではなく、人間からもかけ離れた存在である。しかし、神と人を根本的に堅く結合させる存在がいる。永遠に神の子であり、神でありながら人となられたお方、イエス・キリストである。「ひとりのみどりごが・・・生まれ、その名は『力ある神』と呼ばれる。」物理的に言えば光と闇は幾つもの色合いと影をかけあわせて成り立っている。しかし、倫理的にはそれらは相互排他的である。「ああ。悪を善、善を悪と言っている者たち。彼らはやみを光、光を闇と（する）。」暗闇を象徴するノイズは混乱、分裂、そして終わりのない死をもたらす。しかし、光を象徴するノイズは啓示、革新、そして満ち溢れるいのちを与える。その双方がぶつかるとき、ノイズの猛威を振るう喊声が轟く。「聞け。町からの騒ぎ！」完全であり、聖なるお方、また永遠の方であるイエス・キリストが私たちの身代わりとなって死を味わったとき、極限的な橋渡しが行われ、裁きと憐れみが結合した。「主は、私たちのすべての咎を彼に負わせた。」その後の勝利的な復活、すなわち「死の死」は、私たちへの永遠のいのちを保証する。「・・・永久に死を滅ぼされる。」相互排他的なもの同士を奇跡的に結合させる勢力は恵みである。つまり、私たちが神の偉大さを最大限に楽しめるように、神ご自身が頑強な障壁をぶち破ったのである。恵みはノイズを暗闇から光へ、死をいのちへ、悲しみを喜びへと変える。ノイズは自らを掻き乱すというよりは、不思議な穏やかさを秘め、それが自由に放たれるとき、神秘に浸ることができる。ノイズを作り出すことは、私たちに限界に近づくことを可能にし、光を追い求めさせ、また、境界線を越えるほどの恵みを経験する為にイエスに捧げることのできるものである。ノイズの謎はこれで解決である。静寂は緊張であり、ノイズは解放である。ノイズは緊張であり、静寂は解放である。 MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE NOISE, R.I.P. – REST IN PARADOX! 聖書からの引用：イザヤ書４５章３節、４５章１８節、９章６節、５章２０節、６６章６節、５３章６節、２５章８節原文: Dave Skipper 日本語訳: Grace Koshino さらなる分析（英語のみ）: http://www.TheWordOnNoise.com/Noise-Life-Death アルバム: Mutually Exclusive Music 2
