Time marches on!
by Dave Skipper
2019 is gone forever. After publishing 17 series pages, 5 article summaries, and 32 regular articles on this blog I then didn’t finish or publish any articles in the last couple of months.
Instead, I have been spending a lot of time listening through to my archive of live recordings from 150+ gigs, sifting and editing the best parts for some future releases. There’s some A-grade material I’m super-happy with that I would like to put out as a physical CD release (whether through a label or as a self-release I don’t know yet), some pretty good B-grade material that I will probably release as a digital-only album, and some odd fragments of C-grade material that are interesting to me to keep as outtakes (I’ll probably stick those online too). I have also started planning an exciting new solo concept album project, which I’m keeping under wraps for now.
Anyway, at the start of this new year I’m definitely looking forward to getting back into the swing of writing again after this break. Expect to see some Japanese translations of key article summaries (finally), some noise interviews (finally), some book reviews (finally), and of course a variety of longer and shorter articles continuing the various series already underway. I shan’t guarantee to publish something every week, but I’ll be beavering away in the background…
Thank you to anyone and everyone who has read anything I’ve written. I’ve enjoyed lots of interesting conversations and look forward to more to come!
